ANVR and GfK make predictions about the 2018 holiday booking behaviour

In cooperation with the UV Tilburg, market research company GfK has developed a validated model on the basis of continuous sentiment analyses and current sales figures which can be used to make predictions about the booking behaviour of consumers. The GfK Sentiment Index predicts booking volumes for the next 6-12 weeks for 30 popular holiday countries; later in 2018, 20 more countries will be added. This offers the travel industry a unique opportunity to optimise their yield management and marcom ROI. At the same time, travel industry organisation ANVR is introducing the Sentiment Barometer, which gives a good indication of the positive or negative sentiments about travel destinations worldwide.
